The Farndurk Nuke Switch.

The Aircraft Switch Safety Covers that we use have taken on many names since Farndurk Custom popped up in the world in 2007. The Safety Covers can only be used with the large NOS Milspec Radar toggles I use so sometimes that big toggle is impractical to use in some designs due to the amount if internal space the big MiSpec toggles use up. So keep that in mind if you wish to have this type of thing added to a pedal that you want me to design for you. The names have been pretty varied (and some pretty entertaining!) over the years by many folks, some of them include:

• NUKE SWITCH.
• AIRCRAFT COVER.
• SAFETY SWITCH.
• MILSPEC THING.
• BOMB SWITCH.
• SAFETY COVER.
• FLIPPER DOODAD.
• MILITARY SWITCH THINGUS.
• FLIP COVER.
• MISSILE LAUNCHER SWITCH.
• DETONATOR SWITCH.

Oh well, you get the point by now. The list is actually pretty long, as you can imagine. Around here in the shop Missi and I just call it the "Flip Cover" or "Flipper". Call it whatever you like, just make sure we know what the heck you sre speaking of and all is well! :)

PRICING:

On the CARMA2 and the X2 the Safety Cover is standard and no extra moneycheck. On ALL OTHER DESIGNS it is an upchargable option. We get $10 bux per Safety Cover on every design that is NOT the X2 or CARMA2. If you elect to opt-out of the Safety Cover with either the X2 or CARMA2 the price of either one of those units stays the same (I have to use a large stainless steel flat washer in the Safety Cover's place which actually costs us more than the Safety Covers do!).
